Our Department Ranks 2nd in Türkiye!
As students of the Department of English Language and Literature at Karadeniz Technical University, we are proud to share the news of a significant academic achievement following the announcement of the scientific evaluation results for the 2024 first-term applications to the 2209-A Research Project Support Program for Undergraduate Students, organized by TÜBİTAK.
A total of 14 of our fellow students successfully passed the scientific evaluation process and were awarded funding for their research proposals in linguistics, literature, and translation. Thanks to this success, our department ranked second nationwide in the number of accepted projects among 184 departments, including those in English Language and Literature, English Language Teaching, and Translation and Interpreting Studies.
This achievement reflects both the productivity of our fellows in academic research and the strong academic foundation provided by our department.
We sincerely congratulate our fellows and their supervising professors, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for this proud achievement on behalf of our department.
